Discover Musical Theatre: Peter Pan
“Think of the happiest things, its the same as having wings...You can fly, You can fly, You can fly! sings Peter Pan to Wendy, Michael, and John. You're little one is invited to come explore Never Neverland where we will sword fight with pirates, chase crocodiles, dive with the mermaids, and make sure to never grow up! These musical theatre lessons based on the Disney classic Peter Pan will focus on encouraging gross and small motor skills, rhythm and repetition, teamwork and joyful confidence. Come actively practice the English language and get ready to sing, dance, and act with Peter, Tinkerbell, and the lost boys as they fight off Captain Hook and his band of surly pirates lead by Mr. Smee.
The course is designed for children in Kindergarten.
Arrival time is between 16:00-16:10, the course begins at 16:10, and the duration is 50 minutes.

Course Language: English
The course is taught in a combination of English, High German, and Swiss German with a focus on learning English through active practice of singing, dancing, and acting.
Make-up Day: If the instructor is absent during the course due to illness, Friday, December 21 will be the make-up day.
What to wear?: Please wear comfortable clothing, indoor shoes or grippy socks, and bring a water bottle.
Enrollment: The course will take place if a minimum of 3 course participants enroll. Enrollment for this course will reach a maximum at 6 course participants. (Once maximum enrollment is reached for the Thursday course, a Tuesday course from 16:00-17:00 will be opened on the website. There are currently 5 participants enrolled.)

As a graduate of the University of Michigan’s prestigious Musical Theatre department and a member of the Actor’s Equity Association, Melissa Tranchet, performed professionally in New York City and toured the United States in such shows as Oklahoma!, NINE, Merrily We Roll Along, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Cinderella, Brigadoon, My Fair Lady, and many more. Over the past decade, Melissa’s creative journey in Switzerland has lead her to direct, choreograph, and teach with various groups, including Zürich International School, the Zürich based theatre group ComunicArt, the young women's choir Jugendstimmen Zürich, Places! Adliswil, and the Vollgas Theater group through the Insieme Luzern. Melissa is currently the president of the Theater Arts Collaborative (TAC), a Verein located in Canton Zürich. TAC brings together performing arts professionals to promote English language learning through theatre and music productions. Melissa’s latest project is as the creator, curator, and owner of The Practice Room GmbH, located in Winterthur, Switzerland. The Practice Room offers courses in well-being and the performing arts which support the learning desires of her local neighborhood.
