Choreomania

It’s time…let’s focus on you, and let’s focus on us getting stronger as a community together. "Choreomania" is a yoga influenced dance class where we will travel through the themes of Florence and the Machine's newest album Dance Fever.  Come explore yoga work that strengthens the physical, mental, and emotional bodies combined with a dance routine to make your heart happy and your spirit soar. The course will conclude with a cool down stretch and tea&snacks. No formal dance training is required to enjoy this course, but rather, a desire to move to upbeat music and to join a group of women who need a break from the weekly routine.  

A course for adult women ages 25+

Mondays
19:00-20:30
Arrival and stretching time is 18:50. Tea and snacks will be provided at the end of class.
Course begins at 19:00, duration 90 minutes with short water breaks.

Course Language: English
Mother tongue, Non-native speakers, and English learners are all welcome to come practice their English together.

Make-up Day: If the instructor is absent during the course due to illness, a make-up day will be arranged.

What to wear?: Please wear flexible workout clothing, thick socks or bare feet, and bring a water bottle.

Enrollment: This course will take place if a minimum of 4 participants enroll. Enrollment for this course will reach a maximum at 6 participants.

About your instructor…

Melissa Tranchet is a performing artist and passionate educator who specializes in bringing communities together through theatrical courses and experiences.

As a graduate of the University of Michigan’s prestigious Musical Theatre B.F.A. program and a member of the Actor’s Equity Association, Melissa performed professionally in New York City and toured the United States in such shows as Oklahoma!, NINE, Merrily We Roll Along, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Cinderella, Brigadoon, My Fair Lady, and many more.

Over the past decade, Melissa’s creative journey in Zürich, Switzerland has led her to direct, choreograph, perform, and teach with various groups including Zürich International School, the Theater Arts Collaborative, Close Encounters Theatre, Konservatorium Winterthur, ComunicArt, Jugendstimmen Zürich, Places! Adliswil, and the Vollgas Theater troupe through the Insieme of Luzern.
